LGoS ELECTION - ROUND-UP OF THE PAST WEEK on March 2nd, 2008
Will anything be mentioned about the horrific flop of democracy at JMU? only one candidate running? What is our SU becoming. An utter embarrassment, how can the Guild do it so well why we just seem to cock it up. I expect this to be at least mentioned int he next edition.

It will be recieving extensive coverage in the next print issue out on the 7th of April.
Wow, a deputy president AND two vice presidents! Most elections settle for one of either. Oh well, the girl with her pretty face slapped across every building in the campus won, and she pledged to ‘put students back in the picture’ or something, so that’s great. I look forward to the radical changes in the way the guild is run.
It’s a shame that JMU can’t at least pretend their student representives are going to let our voices be heard. I’m sorry if I’m not really ‘into’ the whole thing, but then again, apparently 83% of students aren’t either. Doesn’t sound so good when you put it like that, does it?
Although Dannie was declared President, the other three positions have not yet been decided. They will be after a discussion between the winners and the Executive.
