ALBUM REVIEW: BLACK MOUNTAIN ‘IN THE FUTURE’
If you’re getting fed up of all the spiky little guitar bands wearing pointy shoes and skinny jeans then Black Mountain could be the perfect tonic. Like Wolfmother and Jack White’s side project The Raconteurs, Black Mountain hark back to the classic rock era of the late 60s and 70s, yet still sound refreshing in a climate of quickly packaged indie pop. With a psychedelic folky twinge that sets them apart from their contemporaries, ‘In The Future’ sees Black Mountain deliver on the promise of their 2005 debut.
