‘TIS THE SEASON…

Ah Christmas. That special time when you actually care who is going to be number one (or at least the media makes you think you should!)
There is no way to escape music at Christmas, even in the solace of your own home. As you switch on the TV the opening bars of the Coca Cola advert ring out and you won’t be able to resist the urge…‘Holidays are coming…!’

For me it’s never truly Christmas until I’ve heard one particular song. Everyone knows it, and you will at some point hear at least one female adolescent wail her way through it at the back of the 86. And the song that no mere mortal should attempt? Miss Carey’s ‘All I Want for Christmas’.

Don’t get grumpy as you hear it on repeat for the third time – the beauty of Christmas songs is you only have to hear them once a year.
